Twice a week it's FFY (fend for yourself) night --- everyone is responsible for their own dinner, except the little ones who share mine or get a sandwich :)
Last night I wanted to use up the last of some rainbow chard we had so I steamed some brown rice, thawed some black beans, sauted the chard, threw in a few spices and got a tasty little dinner for myself. (And Dilly, 'cause he likes my food!) I have been putting turmeric in any dish that will tolerate it, as the reported health benefits of it have convinced me to do so. (I am also using cloves and cinnamon whenever I get the chance.)
And for dessert - two words ------ Mmmmmm Mmmmmm.
